I don't know Mopars so you need to make sure of compatibility.   This guys ad seems like he is knowledgeable about marine engines. I would give him a call and find out if it will work (rotation, ect.) Sounds hard to beat the $$ and get a warranty.   JMO Duane

That Ford block is so rusty that the distributor hole seems to have relocated itself to the back of the engine block just like let's say a 318 Chrysler

Brian,
Sounds like you may need an engine and trans. If you go looking, make sure it's a RR and not a standard. With the narrow hull of the 1st gen, a standard rotation will make a BIG difference that I don't feel you would be happy with.

Brian,
Keep us posted with the progress in the fall. You should post the find in the 1st gen SN roster in the general section of the forum.

Sounds like you may need an engine and trans. If you go looking, make sure it's a RR and not a standard. With the narrow hull of the 1st gen, a standard rotation will make a BIG difference that I don't feel you would be happy with.

Again, great find!!

Yes two completely different boats. You sure it's a 302?

Ill gut it so it can dry and start a restore in the fall. I don't think the gel can be saved so ill have to approach that at a later time. The 302 is stripped and rusted and supposedly cracked. Is there a difference in the hull design other than the splash guard from the 69' mustang and SN?

Brian,
You're probably correct with the year or very close. Nice find in the junk yard! What are your plans? Is there an engine under the dog house?

Picked my new project up today! I noticed there isn't much in the reference section for 1969. I believe this is a 1969 based on windshield, splash guard and vents. I have no other information on this boat as It was in a junkyard.
