It is at our place on Lake Delhi. The old one ended up in Oconomowoc, WI.

Is that thing on Lake Delhi? I saw the old 90 Hawktique rolling around somewhere in the last year or two but I forget where.

That's a beautiful SAN!

I did have a thread years ago. I'll try to pull it back up and add to it.

Either oil is supposed to be good.   I run 10-40, so I have been using bradd penn.   Also has the needed zinc.    The others don't come in a 10-40 formulation from what I understand.   Maybe some more research later on down the road, but the bradd penn it was available when I needed it, so that's what I currently am running.

ETA is tomorrow morning. The suspense is killing me. Going to give her a quick oil change, head to the vinyl guy to measure for registration stickers, and a couple personal touches. Then we're hitting the water!

Currently debating between Rotella Tripple Protection15w40 and VR1 20w50
Also Shell 30w non-detergent for the V drive, or Rotella T1 30w HD.

Thoughts?

Somehow a new boat arriving beats a new car arriving by a long shot. When my boat rolled into the place that I work I pretty much said goodbye to everyone, hitched on to it, and went to the lake. Yes it needed work, but I just wanted to get a ride in it ASAP.

Have fun!

Suspense level is high. Daughters are drag racing this weekend, so we wouldn't have been able to get to it anyway. Gotta check out the tint shop, and get an estimate for a tad bit of gel work. I could do both, and it would look good, but I have an old friend who is far better than me. Been working on High end boats gel repair for almost 20 years.   New lift is in the water and ready though.

Looks to be. I have a buddy who looked at it for me, and has the cashiers check for the owners. He's a few days late picking it up.   Got swamped at work. Said he'd get it today. Don't blame them for reposting until they actually receive the money.

Congrats on the new boat! Looks sharp. We also recently sold our direct drive for a v-drive and it's incredible what a difference it made. We had 9 adults and 3 small kids in my boat the other day for a short low-speed cruise and everyone was comfortable. That would have been impossible in the old boat.

I love the colored top decks, too - my '03 is blue on top but I think they stopped offering it in '04 and for a while thereafter.

Reverse color hulls were available in '01. I believe this was special ordered to get the top deck colored. Very unique, and very deserving to be in the "Hawkeye" State.

It'll be on the lift in about a week Phil. I'm sure you won't be able to miss it.

Yes it will, but not limo black like the last one. Which the previous owner did.   I'm thinking like a factory rear tint in a car would be great.

Would love to see that at Three Lakes in a few weeks.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

thanks all. I loved my previous ride. We had the picture of that boat from the 1990 brochure framed and on the wall at our cabin for 15 or so years (and still do) before I bought it and surprised my stepdad with the real thing. But soon found out that the layout wasn't the most conducive for a family day in the water. The new V-drive layout with the rear ski pylon will work much better for us. Guess the new pontoon will be sitting a bit more.
