I have a jetson style light that would work with that base. PM me for details...

Mine didn't have one when I bought the boat last year.

The link works now. Looks like that stern light will work for your base.
Replacements are popular since so many end up on the bottoms of lakes!! |

The link works for me, check again. Although I did edit it within a minute of posting. I guess the insert hyperlink thing doesn't work right anymore.

Bad link again!!
Considering you don't want to spend much, you do not want the actual "jetson" stern light. I've seen them go for $150 to $200!!! |

As much as I'd love to keep my boat all original, my budget is lower. And at least this is an item most will never see. I am thinking about buying this, but thinking 30" instead of 36".

73 is too late to have had the actual "jetson" head. Keep it original! |

If it's a Jetson light, which is what the base is, why not go on ebay and buy one? There's one right now for $99, although it is the older type and would have to be converted to 2 prong. Or the base could be converted to the older hard wired style.

I'd say the 36" would be correct

No idea what I'm doing wrong, but thank you for your assistance. Glad to know it's a common light. Any idea what the length of the original light would be roughly?

Phillip,
I copied and pasted and was able to view your pictures. Yes, that's the old style Attwood "jetson" base. Any two pin light Attwood light should work. You're doing something wrong with your links so Here's the fixed link |

https://photos.app.goo.gl/IWPW301Vv1raLZDw1 It should work. Try copying and pasting the link directly into your browser, (I use chrome). The direct link doesn't seem to work, but the link works otherwise. |

Alright guys, I've got a picture of it. So it sounds like this is a very common pin setup and still in use. I just want to make sure before I order anything, want to only do this once. Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I can't wait to get the boat out this spring.

Woody, I think you got it! Taking a closer look at the base, it does look like the old style "jetson" base. Phillip, Ebay has replacements listed. Look for Attwood "two pin stowaway" lights. |

Phillip,
Besides Perco, it could also be a Wilcox Crittenden. Pull the base off the deck and see if there's a logo cast into the bottom. |

I'll totally spaced out getting a picture this weekend. I plan to be at storage this week though and will try to get one. If anyone knows off hand what I need from the picture above, I'd appreciate it.

Depending who originally made the light many are still in production. You just need to find out who made what you have left. I would think it could be Perko but without a picture it's only a guess because Correct Craft used what they had or could get at the time.

My 73 Mustang is missing the stern light, has original mount/connector and would like a post/light for it. Anyone have one they would like to sell? I'm in Houston and have paypal.
Thanks Phillip |
