Calm is a relative term HW. 1-2 footers could be considered calm there

Yea I guess I'll have to be the one who says it- the lack of pictures is highly suspicious .......
And now word of the boat show not happening?? Correct Craft Fan bylaw rule 2 paragraph 1 clearly states "Pictures or it didn't happen" |

Hope everyone made it back OK.
Green Lake 2018 was probably the best weather/water combination weekends since we started back in 2006. Friday night was the only issue, but the rest of the weekend was picture perfect, along with the water.. Getting the Martinique out in nice water was a blast. I do have to apologize, first and foremost, for the audible that was called on Friday. The afternoon weather was so nice, everyone hit the water and hung out. Once we saw the rain hit the Northeast part of the lake, we just hung out until it passed, leaving no one in the lot for the trailer show. So for those who showed up there, I am truly sorry. I didn't hear that anyone else made it up, except for Chevy 350's uncle who brought out a cool 69 SN. It was great to see everyone there.. The Goose was its typical fun, except for the leaking roof.. Thunder Boss however was a huge disappointment (to me anyway). Hopefully in the future they can get it together, making it a good place to go.. Thanks all for coming out. It was a great time for sure.. !! Moj' |

Super great time at the Green Lake!
Despite being a "mini", we still had 12 boats on Saturday and probably the calmest water in Green Lake history. Seriously, no wind. Those of us with small boats were able to gallop with confidence. We even skied the course 2 days in a row with relatively good conditions. A huge thanks to Alan and Dana for dragging the Hurricane up and letting me have some rudder time. Sooooooooo awesome. Paul, thanks for throwing me the keys to the promo. I think Liz is now super excited to get ours done for 2020. We also found a version of Hollywood walking around that had a groomed beard. Still not sure who that was. I normally take a ton of photos at these things, but alas, I opened my camera case on day one to find a dead battery. Sorry. |

WOW another great Green Lake weekend. First part of the week the weather looked iffy at best but the weather gods pulled through for the weekend Saturday and Sunday were great days in the bay. Mojo thanks for setting this up. It was nice to see old friends and meet some new ones. Thanks to every one that can, it was such a fun time.

There is some legitimacy to such a rumor. And that gathering also included a Harper sighting followed by a Benjamin visit. Should go without saying there were several early morning Hart sightings (Tom also made it over a couple of mornings). I am still not smart enough to post pics from the phone. |

FAKE NEWS ALERT! There were Russians in Green Lake this weekend. I think they were staying in units 9 and 10 at Green Lake Suites. They hacked my boat cover. :) Now the REAL news! I thought the Universal fit cover was pretty good for a $99 cover. |

Not exactly a Green Lake scale gathering, but still a great time when there was a Harper sighting in Seven Lakes, NC this weekend.
Cheney Rumor has it there was a similar small gathering in Maine involving my NC ski partner |

Well, my truck is down and I had a friend lined up to tow my boat over to GL and he just canceled. So here I am just on the east side of Ripon and there are those there with a truck and no boat and I'm here with a boat and no truck.... Bummer.

So Syd and I got up early and hit the road at 5AM. We had to drive north of Green Lake to Neshkoro to pick up a boat. Syd wanted to get some time on the slalom course so we chose the Sport.
Got on the lake at about 10AM and noticed some rather ominous clouds to the North, luckily they stayed North or at least skirted around us, Needless to say they were filled with lightening and rain. Here is a picture of the storm as it made its way east: Syd skied two sets and then another thunderstorm appeared around 11:30AM, We were not so lucky with this one, so we sought out safe harbor at the Riley Pub pier - shameless plug, as the owner is my wife's cousin, but the food is great - you have to try the Irish Nachos... Anyway the rain passed, I made a few work calls and Frankenotter and Liz joined us. They all skied 2 or 3 more sets. While we were skiing Alan and Dana joined us, they tied up to the Sport, and well, everybody needs a picture of their boat with the Hurricane, so here is mine... We talked Alan into a slalom run and here he is skiing behind the Hurricane! About 3PM we decided to all mount up and head over to the bay, to see who else had arrived. Here is Frankenotters 176 on the prowl: Syd sporting Hawaian print, looks pretty good commanding the Sport... Have a great weekend everybody, wish we could stay longer, see you all soon. |

Now the rain is supposed to stop by 10 AM Sat and if weather forecast history around here holds true, it will likely be earlier.

The latest I've seen is the rain will quit around noon Sat and it should be partly cloudy from there on out.

Dave, It doesn't look good! Forecast: "As the cold front moves through it is likely to slow down across central Wisconsin. This scenario will keep the threat for showers in the forecast through about noon tomorrow. Otherwise, partly cloudy with a light west breeze and high temperatures in the low to middle 80s. Looking ahead, The threat for a thundershower never really leaves the forecast Saturday and Sunday". |

I just swapped out a rusty trailer bearing and nasty grease. Check those trailers before hitting the road.
See you guys tomorrow! |
