Fish Nautique prop shaft thru hull

   I dont have a thru hull for the bait well. I plan on putting one in. I ran bonding wire to all the metal that is in the water. Boat has new zincs on the rudder and i put a new one in the heat exchanger. I had to get a new marine Edlebrock intake manifold for my engine as the newer vortec heads had a different hole pattern. it is aluminum so ill run a bonding wire up to the intake as well. Added another bilge pump and blower. the original blower still worked. all new wiring. both my VHF antennas were shot. I consulted with my radio guru in LA. He made me get my ham radio license a while back, pretty cool but i am struggling to find time to finish up this wiring. anyway, he recommended the Shakespeare Galaxy 5225 MP. followed by, "I cant seem to find any of them around. But they are rated for 150 watts. the 5225 XT is ok and rated for 100 watts, the MP also uses silver plated elements vs copper, with 6db gain." Good to have smart friends!

In a rare moment of dumb luck I found the only "MP" antenna in the United States. It was in Charlotte, NC. came with a new VHF radio and mount. More good luck, I have another friend in Charlotte who met the guy and is shipping it to me today.

Thats off the list!

Now I need a transducer wise man. I have some reading to do to match up a thru hull transducer for my Raymarine C-120 Chart plotter. High Five to Captain Randall for donating this and the weather radar!

There is a brass transducer on the hull. one in a million chance it will work. probably for an old paper bottom machine?

Anyone seen a sand slipper or prop protection on a Fish Nautique?  In the winter on the west coast, you can walk to Texas during low tide. Not planning on skinny water but it happens.

	gouge marks around shaft pocket are likely from digging out barnies from within shaft pocket. . also missing bottom pain around shaft pocket also likely from either scraped off or electrolysis. If boat has electrical issues and poorly zinced then you sometimes see paint missing near through hull fittings that are bonded.

	My fish has a brass thru hole for live well about foot behind transmission. That is best option so water still pumps when running.

	The picture makes me wonder if they operated this boat with a severely bent shaft at some point.

	Robert, The hole through the hull is normal. There isn't a "cover".

	Down the river, I intended to add a water pick up for the live well. I might just stick a pump off the transom? I am surprised they did not have this new from the factory? maybe the live well was filled with a 5 gallon bucket in 1977? here are some pics of my prop shaft were it exits the hull. It looks like it is missing a cover or something? Does anyone have any thoughts or pics of how this looks on their fish nautique? Thank You
