Fix that engine first....then take it to the Lake or a Marina where people hear that noise when you crank up. Remember, you'll kill the deal when the potential buyer lifts the hood and see's junk wire etc. Dress her up a little!

I get several offers per year at a gas pump on the Lake....matter of fact...it's how we bought/saw our first one! These kids pull up to the pump in a 71 Mustang, fill up and then roar off....my kids look at me like I'm the worst father in the world cause we're in a Float Boat...and believe it or not....my kids don't like the new ones.

Sell em' on the water!

I just found this site and I own a 1964 American Skier. It has a Buick V-6 engine (I believe the engine is a 1963 model from the water pump I replaced) and I believe is 15 feet long. The driver sits on the left side of the boat and and the rotation of the engine is the same as that of a car. There is also a throttle pedal on the floor. The gel coat is moderately cracked, but it looks decent from 10 feet.

The engine has recently been converted to an HEI ignition out from either a 1976 or 1977 Buick Wildcat I can't remember (we used all new parts, about $250). The carb has also been rebuilt recently. The boat runs great except for a miss in upper RPM. It appears to have a miss along with a burning smell. I believe that the left-hand baffle/exhaust is broken.

We also replaced most of the floorboards and carpet ourselves last year. The seats are out of another Correct Craft, I just can't remember what kind.

I couldn't find any other information on the boat and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction or owned similar boats. I'm looking for other photos, value (we put this boat in the newspaper for $2,000 and did not have one call, I just wondered how much it was worth), or other information. I will provide pictures later.
