We looked at the GS20 as a roomier replacement for our 206. It did not slalom anywhere close to as well, The trick wake was huge. We sometimes foil; at foiling speeds, the wake table had many large peaks and valleys throughout the width of the wake.

We were really impressed by the fit and finish and it was one of the most comfortable Nautiques to hang out in. It handled much better than our 91 Excel but not as good as our 206. They are great boats... but not great slalom boats.

There is a new GS20 on my lake and have only seen them wake surfing and wake boarding off it.The owner opted for the 450HP engine after a demo drive saying the base engine felt sluggish out of the hole.
Best advice is go to your local Nautique dealer and ask him for a demo expressing your concerns, or they can refer you to a customer for feedback.Keep in mind it's a heavy boat-good luck.

Regarding these two boats. Seems these are the multi-sport replacements for the discontinued Sport V200. Does anyone have any experience with them for slalom? We do a little of everything but slalom is still important. That's pretty much why we still have our direct drive 2002 Air Nautique. The listed dry weight for them seems a bit high for them to still be good slalom boats. Thanks, Sam
