Man, that place was neat and tidy back then. Doesn't look like that any more!

Then thing that bothers me is not only did these ne'er-do-wells take all his valuable stuff but that they had the gall to paint half his garage too. That was just uncalled for.

Remember a number of years ago in Maine where someone's boat was stolen and all they left was the engine? Probably the same bunch.

Bruce,
We sure do.as well as other states.

But I'd have to place this Wiconsin guy in the real psycho catagory.

That was horrible - I wish I didn't read that. Ugh.

Oh yea there was a guy in Glenview IL that passed away a few years ago, he actually had valuable stuff though not roofing supplies. I think he was a former garbage man on the north shore (wealthy chicago suburbs) where he started taking home discarded bicycles. He had some prime real estate in town that I believe is now some sort of church.

Lee Roy Hartung, goofball of a guy. The auction of his stuff was big news.

You must have people like that in WI. We've got plenty in Maine. We bought our 1st classic boat from a guy just like that. It was a trip Dave & Tom will never forget.

I'm not too sure that "collector" is the proper description. I'm more inclined to think the same as Kevin.

If people are really bored, you might find this video amusing. There are many collectors throughout the State of Maine and this guy took a trip to FLA last week and someone put an add in Craigs List inviting everyone to come and take whatever they wanted from his property for free. The guy just got back from FLA and is checking out the devastation.
