Just got off the phone with Woody. He called to let me know that he was still in the hospital.
 He's got Pneumonia in his right lung and he's been on Oxygen since Monday as he can't breathe. Told him Todd posted on the site and folks we thinking and praying for him. He said he appreciated all of it. Continued prayers for our friend.

Hey guys.... I talked to Woody just a few days ago as we try to catch up with one another at least once a month but he asked me to post an update on him last time I talked to him. The Man is on fire!!!! He bought a "Little Red Corvette" last June and is driving the hell out of it. A few road trips here and there and even drove his new ride to the Corvette Museum in Ky. Despite losing his job at SECC when they closed the doors he's got a few irons in the fire so he won't be unemployed for long. Hard to keep a good man down as long as he's willing to fight and Woody is a fighter. A great fighter at that as he wasn't too happy with his Doc and the lack of communication so he fired him.
Anyhow...He's loving life, driving a speedy car, still doing the motorhead thing when he has good days and is looking forward to seeing the everyone at the River in April. Also wanted me to thank everyone for the love, prayers and support. Keep it up, and as Woody tells me every time before we hang up..... Cancer!!!!

UPDATE. Home and doing a lot of walking. Went back to work on the 17th. Doctor released me last Tuesday but still have to take it very easy. I will be at the River Run with my boat and no funny remarks. Thanks for all the payers they helped me thru this. Woody

Woody update...….Got a text msg from him this morning. He's still in the hospital (got a hellava birds eye view of a lake) and doing good.
Told him to get well soon and I'd let you know. I asked him for his home address so I get a card in the mail for him. If ya want it to do the same then text me or msg me here and I'll get it to you when I get it. Thanks Y'all! |

Arnold Schwarzenegger had a valve replacement and they used a turtles valve! They asked after his recovery how it went. He said, "Great, but when released, it took me two days to walk to my car." I hope that got a smile out if you! |

Hey all... I talked to Woody last night and he asked me if I would post something about his upcoming operation. He's been running about 75% and it seemed that his intake manifold isn't providing enough air to keep the motor running like it should. Upon further investigation by some highly specialized engine mechanics he has an intake valve on his ticker that needs replaced. Therefore Woody is getting a Intake Valve Replacement on January 17th at 7:30am. Please keep our good friend and Guru in your thoughts and prayers. His spirits are good and those who know him know that he's as tough as they come. He's beat the 1st bout of cancer got the 2nd round on the run and now he's got intake valve issues. He'll be out 4-8 weeks and says he'll be running the river with us at the 2020 SJRR! If ya got his # send him text msg wishing him well. He's determined that this ain't getting either and he's gonna beat this
too!Bottom line........Woody is getting a Valve Job!  Go Woody GO! As always ...thanks Y'all!!
