Todd, thanks for the update! Good to know they're still building boat trailers.

Or call Ramlin directly and ask for Tito and get a quote. Ramlin is alive and well in the trailer business they just don’t build for CC direct anymore. The impression I got was the industry wanted a Ramlin trailer for a Boatmate price.

I love Ramlin but I'd be more inclined to buy that Boatmate than the 200 trailer which will likely need more modifications to fit. If you're really set on Ramlin then call Boatmate for a quote since word on the street is they've purchased the Ramlin boat trailer division. See what it would cost to have a Ramlin pattern trailer made for your boat as it's probably not a whole lot more for them to make one.

We tried to modifying the 01's old trailer for our Chris Craft and it's never worked how we intended. I cringe every time we tow the boat and we're most likely looking into a custom trailer....which should have been the plan from the start.

Sounds good, I actually got in touch with a guy in Missouri who happens to have a 2018 Boatmate tandem for his 92’ Ski Nautique he had. He bought a different boat hoping that it would fit and it was a no go, so he’s sitting on really nice trailer looking to sell. Talked to him this morning and I’m thinking I’m gonna pull the trigger on it. I’ve been in touch with Alan, I know he amd Todd aren’t a fan of the boatmates, but it might be hard to pass on this. I’m gonna reach out to Alan again and get his thoughts

Mark,

The 200 Ramlin trailers have some strange bunk configs, extra set of pads not just bunks following the frame like on Chris' trailer in that thread.

Joel's 200 trailer is stored at my place, I can txt you some pics of his so you can see what I am talking about, Todd W & Alan have my cell if you have their numbers otherwise PM me for my number.

Thanks for the reply, yes I’m a little nervous on the exact fit amd am doing the math on making the trip down there, it’s a 17 hr trip each way, so there are definetly some travel expenses to weigh into the equation,. Add everything up and I might be ahead just buying a completely new trailer I know will fit . That’s the dilemma so far.

Im not certain but from looking at empty 200 trailers vs NWZ/196 I expect it to fit like Chris’ oops trailer did in this thread:

http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=35107&title=ramlin-vin-anyone

I speculate Ramlin built the rails on the oops trailer for the the 200. The rails on the oops arent very wishboned and eun parallel then bend in suddenly much like the 200 trailers ive seen. Amd if youre looking at that $3250 trailer I’d want it to fit great.

Could you give a little more input besides “poorly”? I know the trailer will be a little longer, but am wondering how it would sit on the bunks? He’s gonna measure them tomorrow so I can compare to my current trailer. Curious to know where the issues will be. Thanks
