The G25 Paragon will need every pony in that 600 HP direct-injection engine. Dry, that boat tips the scales at 7,200 pounds. Add 83 gallons of fuel, 2,800 pounds of peeps/cargo and full ballast and that wake barge has a fully laden weight of over 13,000 pounds. Dang.

Trust me, Quinner CANNOT be serious about this conversion for the 206. Our lake has a speed limit of 40 mph. He NEVER breaks any rules on our lake. Ever.

Maybe Quinner is trying to compensate for something else being considered too small?

Don’t have much choice when you base your product off of someone else’s work. Gotta go with what your given to work with and all that was driven by EPA regulations

Oh I definitely remember the skepticism as mpefi started being offered in the mid 90’s. It seems to have turned out alright.

Definitely some issues with DI that haven’t been fully flushed out yet (over the long term) but the power levels and efficiency when new sure do make them attractive. The marine market doesn’t seem as far behind the auto with DI as it was with efi.

Some of us keep upping the hp, but I never considered a larger boat.

Well no boat really needs 600 hp.... but that’s not to say one shouldn’t have it. Hold my beer...

Could imagine the conversation back in 1995? “I hear PCM is coming out with this new multi port fuel injection crap with 310hp, called the GT40 Pro Boss. Oh lawdy that’s gonna be problematic, my 240hp pushes the Sport Nautique just fine.”

Imagine back in 1995, "They're coming out with a 707hp Grand Cherokee too"

Nautique lists 600hp on their site. Looks like the DI version of the 550hp SC 6.2L.

Would be a waste in a 206.

Saw a post about the new PCM ZZ8 Engine which is touted as 100% closed cooling.
Does that mean there is NO raw water used in cooling/heat exchange?? Checked their site and there was not much info about it or any diagrams..

Also interesting they only list Torque, not HP.

ZZ8 sure would be fun to shoehorn in to my 206 :)
