Is there an OBD-II port on the newer Nautiques? If so, a standard OBD-II reader should be able to pull the code. If there is not an OBD-II port, how does the laptop connect to the ECM? Now you just need to know what the codes mean...

I run the wake program at our summer camp and we have a 08 SV211 with the EX343 engine option. Whenever we have a check engine light I have to have our mechanic bring out his laptop and software to read the codes. His software does very in-depth fancy readings. Is there a more basic affordable reader where I can at least just get the basic codes that are thrown when the check engine light comes on?
