Actually the company designates the mandatory downloads, they require a lot of bandwidth. Yes I was a manager, the only thing I managed was my $8 million dollar base of assigned accounts. Being the 800 pound gorilla in the room AT&T doesn’t really care if the account manager has to piss away hours waiting for computer issues.
As to the Apple customer service we had a team of experts to help us when dealing with iPhones and iPads. Android owners had at least 10 times more issues than Apple users. When I was tasked with selling the first iPhones I sold more than anyone in the Southeast region. The only complaints were that “theses damn things break if you drop them”! No *************** Sherlock! I then started insisting that the customer get an Otterbox protective case with the iPhone. Problem resolved. As for the battery issue it was set up by Apple to “encourage “ users to upgrade. It happens with every company in the technology field. They want customers to be on the “latest and greatest” products. Why? So they can enhance bottom line revenue and streamline operations. They don’t hav to provide tech support across generations of past models. Not saying it’s right but that’s the fact of the matter.

Apple is a love/hate relationship for me. When they work there is nothing to compare but when they need service I become a very frustrated individual. The fact that you have to make an appointment to enter the sacred doors of an Apple store........that is where the hate part comes in.

No wonder we haven't seen or heard from Quinner in a long time. He finally met his match and she "loved" him to death! |

Funny Pete. We had to be in the garage on the LAN line to connect up not out in the truck ![]() As to the stories I could tell- Tony Accardo helped me move furniture to install a jack, I installed a new line for Quinners girl friend, the por*star Seka . Johnny Morris was not a nice guy no matter which house or wife he had,his first wife Jeannie was. Tom Waddle, great human being welcomed me into his house like I was a long lost friend.

Dave must have been a manager ;) I got paid very well to sit and watch downloads. Plant maps on replacement hard-drive could take a good part of the day. Paid the same to watch a download or stand out in the rain or cold.

You could have stayed connected and selected a time say when you were sleeping for the updates.

I didn't say their products are bad what I am saying is their attitude toward their customer is so bad that they just don't care. I will not buy another apple product. It wasn't always like that it's only been since Job's has been gone. If you treated an ATT customer the way they do you would have been looking for a new job. My wife has always been an apple user - she has had pc's,pads, touch's and phones, even stood in line for hours waiting to hand over her money. When the X came out she was there waiting at the store. They hand it to her and don't transfer her data from the old, they always did that with the other ones. The parting shot after dropping a grand was maybe you should take a class...... My son's 6 was one of the very first ones to have battery problems - he goes to the apple store they tell him the phone is bad ends up buying a 7 when all he needed was a battery. A year or so later my 6 battery starts to go- by now they have admitted their problem and are offering a "deal" on battery replacement. I'm down here in Florida, 50 miles away from their store. So off we go,I check in, they say it's about an hour until they can get to me which is fine. An hour later I get called they ask what my apple id is. I cannot think of it that fast what do you need it for I just need a battery. So we know it's yours is the answer. I bought it from you can't you look up the serial number? No answer. I have bought cars from 50 bucks up to more than our first house cost never once have I had to show the title to get work done on ANY of them. Why didn't you ask me or tell me on check in I could have figured it out or changed it in that time- silence.... 100 miles for nothing. Finally get it changed back home, doesn't even last a year and the batteries bad already. Get the song and dance that I only get something like 30 or 60 days warranty blah blah blah. Went to ebay buy a battery for 12 bucks with a 2 month old build date. Pull the phone apart, the battery they put in was already a year old when they installed it,really? Didn't expect me to open it and check eh?. As to virus your kidding yourself- my wifes first mac came down with something- off we go to the store they tell her the same thing apples don't get virus you'll have to make an appointment it will be later- another woman behind her says hey mine is doing the same thing, both women get taken off to the side in the back of the store and those pc's disappeared so fast into the back it made your head spin. Thanks I'm done

Come on Gary. Since I retired 9 years ago I’ve used a laptop maybe a dozen times. The iPad is the greatest invention of this century. No longer do I have to wait 5 minutes for it to “boot up”. Simply open the iPad and start using it, what could be more simple? I retired from AT&T, each morning I would have to wait while the company downloaded new “security updates”, etc. to my laptop, really got to be a royal pain. Say what you will about Apple but there is a good reason why they are the leader in technology. Their products work well and are user friendly. Additionally they are extremely virus resistant, not to say impervious but hackers will seek easier targets.

Well you could go and ask apple- waste a half hour while they tell you their products are greatest in the world and when your done walk out with nothing solved because the people in the front of the store are salesman not computer or phone experts. Or you could switch your pad over to classic mode from mobile mode at the bottom of the CCF page
![]() Then it will look like this- Or just take all your apple products and put them in the circular file.....

I have 2 iPads, and cannot reach the login, search, control panel etc. They’re tucked up under the blue title bar at the top of the page. I can drag them down and see them, but soon as i take my finger off them, the page scrolls back up and hides the links.
Anybody else have this problem? ... and maybe a fix? |
