I had a ‘87 barefoot Nautique with a lefty in it… the handling/lean wasn’t as problematic as some of the smaller/older/flat bottom LH-converted cc’s I’ve driven. But it still wasn’t good. I certainly wouldn’t advocate a lefty prop in one of those boats.

Thank you.  It has not run in over ten years, so I would have some associated risk with the purchase.  The owner has passed away, and the seller does not have any mechanical history.

You intend to test the boat on the water, yes? recommended
Some SN & BF boats came with a left hand engine, and its not confirmed there is anything speshul about those hulls , so its not all that concerning at first
Anything else modified?

I am looking at a 90 Barefoot, and the previous owner replaced the engine with a LH 454.  Any concerns I should have pursuing the purchase?
