Firstly, I don't see any need to commit to the boat with it being so close. If you like what you see when you get there, make a deal and haul it home.
I believe the plastic platforms date back to 2003 and in years that followed, for a period of time, you could get either. Folks with later model boats can chime in when they all turned plastic. As far as pricing, it's been crazy for the last 18 months, but the numbers you mention do see reasonable, on both ends, depending on options, condition of trailers, etc.... Send us some pics. Ultra...

I'm now contemplating a purchase of a 2008 SN 195 with 450 hours with perfect pass. It looks to be well cared for.It comes with a wood rear platform, most in that age group seem to have fiberglass ones so I'm wondering about that. They are asking $26,000. which right now seems pretty fair. I'd be driving 5.5 hours to pick it up and pretty much be committing from the pictures. Any opinions on this boat and the price? I'm coming from a 2000 SN 196 which I'm hoping to get $18,000. Any opinions appreciated. TY Charlie
