I just replaced the fuel sending unit on my '92 so I thought I would post the information for others who may want to do the same.  The original sending unit just caused the gauge needle to bounce all the time and never gave an accurate reading.  I knew it was getting low on fuel when it stopped bouncing.  The replacement causes the needle to move up and down a little but is basically very stable and looks to be accurate.

The tank depth measured 11.5" so per the KUS website instructions for a plastic tank I ordered a 10.5".

The units are available from multiple sources NP, Amazon, Ebay, marine supply stores etc..  I made sure to get a genuine KUS unit.

It was pretty easy to install.  Removed the back seat then disconnected the tank straps and pulled the tank forward on the passenger side at an angle until the sending unit was clear.  Then swapped the units and connected the two wires.
