Finally got around to putting the fuel pressure gauge on it today. Had to take it out on the lake and run it for about 30-45 minutes and if finally started cutting out again. Sure enough significant loss of pressure at the fuel rail I will start with the HP fuel pump inside the fuel cell. the fuel cell was quite warm to the touch. the LP fuel pump was cool.

If you do the pressure check, then at least you'll have an idea if you should be looking at the fuel system or the ignition side of things.
I wouldn't rule out the ignition system. Have you looked in the distributor lately? Things like the PIP can cause some funny issues.

I will put the gauge on it this weekend. I have read in some places that the new fuel pumps are not that good and prone to fail. I was hoping someone else has experienced this same problem and could save me some diagnostic time but the few responses I am getting evidently not.

If you want to change both fuel pumps, I think you may be barking up a young sapling or something. According to your post about the same issue over on PN, you just changed them 2 years ago. Have you driven around with a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to see what your fuel pressure is when it's running good and when acting up? (same question you got asked over there)

I have a 1997 Sport Nautique with a PCM GT40 engine. It has started to act up after about 30 minutes of use. When at speed or under load it will start cutting out like it is going to stall. As soon as you go back to idle it runs fine. It only does it after it warms up. I also heard a squeal when starting it up last night much like a loose belt squeal but my belts are new and tight. I think my issue is fuel delivery related. I want to change both of the fuel pumps and FCC filter. Am I barking up the right tree or something else?
Thanks in advance
