Seawall quote I just got was crazy,new 40 ft pier was up all because of the steel price- guy who did it says prices are starting to come down. Another contractor neighbor has his foundation in but the wood prices will add 100k ?? to the cost of it. He says futures are down so he's holding off.

I had the fabricator make the new tank the same dimensionally as the old. Since the fill nipple goes directly to the deck fill with a short 2" long rubber hose, and there's no room for fore to aft tank adjustment, the fill location was the primary concern. So far so good on the new fit.

That is a crazy good deal, I'd even call it a steal. I would have guessed twice that. I don't mind the sounds of the inline blower, only thing that reminds me it's on. I've forgotten it a few times even so.

Just like lumber, aluminum cost has gone up considerably the past year. At least I understand lumber is going down.

Yes she did....Cyndi Matranga Benzel. One of her Championships came in 1982 for which she was given......a new 1982 Nautique with her name on each side. It's our current Nautique.

This is the one we had done for the Al Tyll. It was $350. I didn't think that was bad. My guy is happy to do more and custom if needed...

My wife walked by and didn't ask any questions, she just said "that's a short stubby little thing" I told her it always has been, she said no,no I'm talking about the gas tank So how many gallons does it hold and as JQ might say, how many sheckles (or is it shekels) did it cost ?

I was taught to always use the bilge blower by Johnny Matranga, he had two friends die in a boat explosion and always shared this if you went in his boat. If my boat is running the blower is on. I don't care if I wear out my blower every few years. Johnny's words are still in my head. His daughter went on to be a National Champion Water skier.
Add the blower Pete or raise the engine cover before every start.

Looks pretty - should have added 1 extra bung for a fuel return when you inject it
. New Shamrock tanks come with coal tar epoxy since they sit low in the bilge

Great looking gas tank Pete but ouch, that has to hurt. The new tank looks like aluminum? Should last much longer but geez, 64 to 2021 is not a bad life for the factory tank.

Due to rust inside the 64 tank, it got to a point were I was boating with a spare fuel filter . Depending on the length of time out, there were times when a filter swap was needed. Since the original tanks are long gone, a new custom tank was needed. My local fab/welding shop did a great job but
 on the cost. I did consider sending the old tank to a radiator shop that would have boiled it out and then lined it but with mixed reviews on the lining holding up in the long run, it was a concern. Getting the tank in and out isn't fun plus I sure didn't want problems in a couple years so I felt going new was my best choice.
