Once you get her running in the right direction give it a check for vacuum leaks. Hopefully the hissing you heard was actually from the carb area and you are all good now.

I think I found the problem. When I replaced the Starter they gave me the wrong one. I compared the bevel on the starter gear and the two are different, so I think I was starting the motor backwards.

Both surfaces were clean (new Heads and gaskets and gasket glue and proper torque pattern). I called my motor shop that did the moror and asked them about the problem they said it might be a bad seal or warped manifold. Thanks

Not supposed to happen, you have a leak in the exhaust crossover portion of the intake manifold gaskets most likely. Did you use new gaskets? Were both surfaces (head and intake) flat and smooth, did you slap on some gasinich or the equilvent gasket glue. Proper torque proceedure followed? One or more has gone arwy order some new gaskets and pull it off, sorry.

Just finished rebuilding the motor on my 92 ski natique 351W, and after putting the intake maniford back on the long block, when I crank the engine over and stop, there seems to be air comming from the two bolts that hold the throttle cable. Not sure if this is suppose to happen or not any answers?
