Good Christmas for me and the boat. Got a new ski and the boat is getting interior and carpet. After 32 years of faithful service I thought it deserved it. My Goode 9800 was delaminating but I wasn't sure what to buy. Found a deal on a new blank 2024 Senate Graphite for $280. They get good reviews so I thought for the price it was worth a try. After seeing Morfoot's post I'm thinking I should have a got a Vapor. Enjoy 2025 and Keep On Skiing!

Merry Christmas CCFans. No new Ski/Boat gifts this year for TimBob as at this stage of the game as when I need it I buy it. Bought a new 2024 Demo Pro-Build Radar Vapor a few months ago and a 1.0" diameter handle but that's it. Love the new Ski as it's a huge improvement over the 2015 Vapor I was skiing on. Might get one last 2024 ski in on the 30th as temps are gonna hit mid 60's. Water temp is 50 as we've been hit many 20+ degree nights that really cooled off the water. Half the ski crew was winterized their SN's but mine has just been drained. 's to those that are true hard core and ski on NYD regardless of air and water temps. Y'all get an extra Mancard in your wallet!

The forum is quiet this time of year, my note is late but I do hope you all enjoyed a Merry Christmas with family and friends.
Time to start planning your Polar Bear Ski trip. January 1st is just a few days away. My boat is tucked away and will not be going out till spring but for those that do, have a great time. We did the Polar Bear experience several times many years ago. The last time I went it was 32* and foggy. Locally a radio station promoted the Polar Bear event and each participant earned a Badge you could sew on to a jacket. Hundreds of people showed up to participate and watch. A big bonfire was on the beach for warming up and lots of Whiskey and Brandy was used to kill the cold. The last time I went a man decided he was going to do it, he had never skied before and tried to get up on doubles, for this event only a swim suit was allowed, no wet suits or dry suits. No Beach starts, had to do a deep water start. This guy tried to get up 3 or 4 times in that weather. His skin was purple when they made him stop. I do think lots of alcohol was involved in his decision. Good memories and a lot of fun. Hope some of you brave the cold and have at it. I do remember some showing pictures of barefooting with snow all around on the shores. That is very tough duty. Mark
