We are in the mid 70's in Northern VA water is a little cold. Nothing a full 3/2 wetsuit won't cure.

No boating this weekend up to Wildwood NJ with some friends.

Everybody have a safe weekend

Myrtle Beach for April vacation = Ahhhhhhh

As much as I like the N.E., I gotta admit that changing the lattitude definetly changes the attitude!

Mike: Hope your wife and kids are enjoying themselves. It is a little on the cool side here now. I am gonna hold ya to that "next year" visit. Maybe you can look at my bike while you are here. Hope the new business is good. And not keeping you as busy as JEFF. I never hardly hear from him anymore.

Ken: I think you know you and Patricia are always in my prayers. Not just for a good summer either.

Mike- Hope you guys survive the high water this spring. Our lake is full already and the boards have only been in the dam for 1 week. That's 3.5 feet in 1 week- pretty crazy.
If I can get my butt in gear this weekend to summerize the 86er we could be skiing by Monday.

I'm actually having my boat blessed by the church this spring. Plus I'm going to name it too. I'm hoping the higher power flushes away all the bad and allows the best summer ever. Say a prayer for me, John!

One of my wife's employees has a camp near the end of the lake by the dam.She says camps at that end are starting to take on water. The Mousam river is supposedly flowing over it's banks. They may not have power for 2 weeks at their house.I have not been up there....JEFF KOSTIS can you verify this?

I like your positive attitude, Brad. Let the water levels rise. I'm counting the days until Lost Lake season. We'll give my boat some water-time this year.

It's snowed 3 times since I got the boat out of storage. Maybe I should put it back in.

Reidp- thanks for the invite- that's very generous of you. I was just down in FL for a very short Easter weekend. Next time I'm down there, I'll try to hook up with some of the FL fans

One good thing about all this rain- the lakes levles are rising quickly

I have a long lasting impression of Ohio. In May of 2004, my wife and I drove from Massachusetts to Streetsboro, OH. I bought a boat from Ron's Marine that JBear is slightly familiar with. Anyway, after the test drive, the sky turned BLACK and lightning like I've never seen kicked in. Rain, high winds, etc. The next morning on our drive back to Mass, there was a tornado watch and it was a nasty drive to the PA boarder. It was like the Wizard of Oz in Ohio.

Hey Mike, I hope you lake isn't flooded like last year. What a mess that storm was!

John, you guys are used to challenging weather in the south. Us northerners get a little twisted over stuff like this. The good news is the lake levels are higher, so less fear of dinging props.

Have you been real busy lately?

Thanks Chuck. Those things are called "shorts". A person wears them when the weather is warm. Which means I wear 'em year-round, execpt on Sunday.

The slender looking gent is the Famous ReidP. Sorry we did not get a single picture of our 2 lovely wives.

Believe me guys, this place is even better than it looks.

PS; We left 2 chairs in the front compartment. They were meant to be left, thats why we bought red. Hopefully we will get invited back to sit in them.

Reid,

I see no comments concerning the next to last picture. Is that too a distinguished CC owner?

Jbear, very suave. Is that shorts you're wearing? I don't even know where mine are.

You're very welcome John. We had a great time and it was difficult leaving. You left your hair brush by the way, so I'm hoping you were able to get out and back to work. Also a folding chair; mine now. For anyone else, here are a few picts from the campsite they had us in, several from the camper roof, one out the back door, and one of jbear posing as only a CC owner can.

Guys, I am back too after spending an awesome weekend with mrs jbear at Reid's place on the "Backside of Paradise". Check out the pic he posted earlier in this thread. The place is all that and more. Right on the water. Atlantic is just on the other side on the mangroves. Cool bar/resturant with very cold beer and great food. Hint; tell them you know Laurie (Reid's lovely better half) don't mention Reid. Great food and friendly staff that greet you as if they have always known you. Short trip, 11 miles, to all that Duvall Street on Key West has to offer. Ask Reid about the Gals we saw Friday nite, inviting us into their show. Pets are welcome, we took Jo the Tennessee wonder dog and she had almost as good a time as we did. Laurie and Reid were gracious hosts and truley showed us a great time. What other host would insist that you bring your dog to their new trailer?

Reid has posted an offer here of the trailer to any of the C/CFAN regulars. I would strongly suggest some of you guys, especially Northerners take him up on this. You won't be sorry. And me and mrs jbear are only 7 hours away in Central Florida if you want to vsit.

At the bar they had tvs tuned to the Weather Channel so we could watch the misery you Northern guys were feeling. We really did feel bad for you guys.

It was an awesome time for us, many thanks to Reid and Laurie for having us.

WOW!! I missed a bunch here! I think Im back. I havent been on the computer since the storm. We got about 15 inches of snow in one area, and about 8 at the coast. What a mess!! I think I made a 40 hr week in 2 days!! Power outages caused some of the radio sites grief.
All of you with suntans and poking us with a sharp stick is working!!! I think I will move south...
Its fun watching out the window and seeing what appears to be lightning, but its only the powerlines shorting out.

We got about 9 inches of snow on wed night. .Lost power for about 6 hours.Still have some friends that are without and will probably be so until Sunday. Some roads are still unpassable due to downed trees and lines. The snow is almost gone already from the sun being out,but it's still in the low 30's(day)and the low 20's/teens(night).worst part is with the arctic Air mass in place, they are saying it could happen again within the next week....I'm supposed to get the boat out next Saturday, keeping my fingers crossed.

Eric I feel for all you guy's in the North. I see where places like New England got hit with 12 plus inches of snow, and rampant power outages. If it makes you feel any better (I doubt), we've gone from 90 degrees Monday to a high Saturday in the low 50's. Wouldn't be so bad but it's our annual friends family kick off to the season when the brave and well young jump in for the first ski of the year. At this point I'm not even sure the boats will see the lake. Having said that, at least we don't have snow, although were looking at freezing temps tonight through Monday.

Nonetheless, Happy Easter to all, stay safe. d
Danny
