IMHO Cheap tools are better than no tools, if it becomes on of your favorite tool and breaks then next time buy a real one. That one even hooks up to the battery (short leads though) so I am sure you wont even need the blanket just a cloud or two.

I have used a cheap timing light and did have to put a blanket over me to see the light but, it still worked!

I would think if it emits a bright light, it should be fine. It will either work or not. Not much to them.

Hey Guys,

I'm going to install my Pertronix module tomorrow and I understand I will need to check the Timing.

I'd like to buy my own timing light, but money's a little tight right now. Will a cheapy Harbor Freight Light do the job?

Thanks you for your assistance.

Joe
