Depending where you are wou will also need to winterize your boat. If the temp gets to around freezing you will need to follow the winterization suggestions. I have seen them in a number of places, or you can have your local dealer do it to be sure its done right.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate the help. If anyone else has some suggestions, bring them on. It's getting close to "THAT TIME" and this will be my first time to store my boat over winter. Unfortunately, I don't have a barn to store it in so I bought one of those steel frame PVC Carport tents to put it in as well as enough blue tarps to cover the boat cover.
Thanks again, Joe |

before you cover it up... make sure you place little cups of moth balls in the boat. It will keep the rodents out for sure! tape up your exhaust ports.... Go to the hardware store or wherever and get a big blue inexpensive tarp to cover your cover... it's worth. Birds in the barn will poop all over your canvas cover...
other than that, the moth balls are the trick to keep out the mice. sleep well little nautique.. sleep well |

Does anyone have any problem storing their boats over the winter in barns and garages? I'm storing my boat for the first time and don't want the mice or anything to hurt it over the winter months. Do you have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.
