Hey Guys-
I'll thank ReidP for the clever use of Tung Oil. I will try that and make it look nice for now and I'll wet sand it for real this winter. Tung Oil sounds better than WD-40 and baby puke. Yep baby puke! 
I had my little 8 month old cruising in the Nauti when a good milky white one came out and hit the dash right behind the observer's seat. I couldn't get to it until the day was over and by then I had forgotten all about it. A couple days later the spot was still shiny Black and Dry! Any chemists out there want try and explain it? You guys might laugh, but just for Mike's or anyone's use to TEMPORARILY clean up the black dash gelcoat; rub teak oil on it, and then wipe it off. You will be pleasantly surprised. And to make sure you understood, once again, this is a TEMPORARY fix, so no smart a_ _ comments from the gallery. The long term corrective fix has already been given.

you want something that's going to work or use rubbing compound and you still have to wet sand it. So save your arm strength and do it once enstead of three times.

Has any one found a quick way to cleanup the white haze off the Black gelcoat on the dash board? I don't have the time right now to buff it out so I'm looking for a quick fix. Thanks- NM |
