I recently got this little carpet cleaning machine. It got the carpet really clean, made it look new again, and best of all, it got rid of the real stinky smell the carpet had.

try scrubbing it with some cleaner and pressure washing it......after clean i take a stiff bristle brush and go over it to "lift" the nap so to speak

Ordered the carpet runners in my 206 back in 05', not sure where they can be found nowadays but they have worked out very well.
Here is a PN thread that may give you more info: Carpet Runners |

Just use the boat as it was designed for, if you are worried about the carpet, leave it in the garage and don't use it.

Other guys on this site have ordered or made "runners" that go over the original carpeting, especially in high traffic areas. They are easily removable and will protect your carpet.
You might want to consider that. Hope the helps. Joe |

I don't know about "bringing that showroom look back" but I have a post water checklist to keep the boat looking great. One of the things I do is wet vac the carpet - every time out. It keeps the boat and carpet dry and it keeps the carpet from matting down.

I have owned five Nautiques over the years and have never found a good solution how to keep the carpet in good condition. It looks soooo good when the boat is new but after one summer it is all matted down and never looks good again. I currently own a 2004 Ski 196 closed bow and ofcourse I love it and keep it in perfect shape...except for the carpet. Any thoughts on how to bring that showroom look back?
Thanks much. -Best, Thomas |
