I know it is difficult to spend the $1,000 on decals...but, there will be a cosmetic difference to your brush on alternative. I have an 82 Nautique that is in the process of being restored and a previous owner attempted to freshen up the graphics with a paint brush. From a distance it looked OK but never had the original look and its expensive to have this re worked. Any how...good luck. If you can, spend the money and do it right.

I have a 1979 Ski Nautique. The decals are pretty well worn off and I would like to replace them. The local graphics shop wanted nearly $1000 to make new vinyl stciker decals to replace the original painted decals. I wondered if anyone had a better more economical solution. I had considered getting someone who does detail painting and or airbrushing to repaint or getting a small brush and doing it myself. Any thoughts appreciated. I will post up some pictures soon.
