I don't know where everyone comes up eith all of the 408 bashing and bashing my integrety personally. You all sound like a bunch of old hags that watch soap opera's all day. If you don't believe anything SEE IT for yourself. This boat runs better than any other that any of us has seen> Enough said. No the pylon has not been used and the motor was completely removed and a frien at the University is rebuilding it for a project. None of the block short or long was put back in the boat. If you have never been to florida then you should come, there are many fresh water lakes here!

Well I wouldn't kick that boat out of the boathouse, but I do wonder why someone would go to the effort and then bow out...

Fine you can rip me a new one but now your squeaky clean and politically correct.

Enough said I guess pretty sure everyone gets the point and should stay clear of this one. I'm betting that it's not even stroked and it's just valve covers only.

All I will say, and will not bash the guy, is I have had dealing with him before.
This is as far as I will go on this subject.Woody is the guy he spoke of that did all this work,ie " complete wiring harness"And the 200 yrs combined experience at the dealership,Woody could only come up with 150.
If it looks like a duck, smells like a duck, walks like a duck then chances are it is not a Tweety Bird..............

500hp in that boat sure would scream, but Im not buying it without more details. 500hp is attainable, but the thing would really have to be dialed in. Joe's 408 puts out somewhere on the order of 420hp, if I remember correctly.

Assuming a full rebuild was done when he added the stroker kit, the fact that he's still getting water in the engine isnt a good sign- especially with new exhaust (and presumably intake) manifolds.

402 HP is the highest number I got to on the dyno when mine was built. I have changed a few things that picked me up some rpm since then and have a new cam to go in over the winter, I am hoping to be at 425 hp when I am done playing with it but 402 is all I can back up...

Before anyone makes a bid or is interested in this boat they need to do a little research .
I talked to Woody today at SouthEast CorrectCraft. He has all the work orders on this boat and what was done.
The paper trail is different than what the owner states in his ad.
Work was done in April of '06, and done before the engine rebuild.
Again call Woody @1-407-851-1965

regarding the coil it's oil filled only a few are not and it doesn't look like a potted version I've ever seen so odds are it is oil filled and you do not lay an oil filled coil on it's side because then the windings are exposed to air inside of the coil and it burns up rather quickly. Spent a couple years designing coils in my younger days. Just too much BS about who did the work by so call experts, but when you look at what they did and me being a some what amateur on this boats and motors it's just stuff you do not do.

I am in no way trying to protect this guy, but the lighting in the pic makes it a little hardd to tell. That coil could possibly be a chrome MSD coil. The coil on my BFN is a canister coil but it's not stock. I agree I am not buying 500 ponies out that engine that he has pictured.

Take a close look at the pictures of the boat notice the rear seat, that's not the way it came from the factory, notice the hinge and carpeted box the seat cushion is sitting on. Now look at the motor, your going to use a MSD spark box with a canister style coil AKA stock coil in a hot motor and then compare the picture from april where the MSD box is missing. And if all of these so called expert CC boys did the work with over 200 yrs experience between them why the hell did they only use one hose clamp on the exhaust hose. Like I said earlier the guy's a ***********.

Quinner the guys a bullsh*tter 500hp no way. He gave me this song and dance last year that so and so redid the hull and graphics and is an expert in CC's and now he's talking like it was just done and it's been over a year since he told me face to face that the hull and interior was done.

I meet him and sold him a pylon after listening to him whine that he didn't really have the money for a half hour I finally lowered the price some and then he wrote me a check I was a little ********* about it was expecting cash and the agreed priced before I drove an hour to meet the *********. Guess I'm too nice and should have just walked and sold it to someone else.

I wouldn't recommend anyone on this site buy that boat. One it's been used on salt water regularly and two the guys a little shady and not very trust worthy, more like a weasel and *********.

Damon Presswood, yes he bought a set of Hi-Teks thru Allen,Sent them back because of water still getting into the engine.
The replacement set did not stop the water.I think the boat was used for a Ski Team, lotta hours in SALT WATER.
I think he found either head or manifold issues allowing the salt water in.
As my dealing with him he was a real PITR.But this is just my opinion and I am sticking by it.
I hope Keith does not ban me for those negative remarks........

I'd be a little worried about it be run in brackish water there isn't a fresh water lake any where near him and the guy's a little different, I'm pretty sure that the pylon is the one I sold him out of the Bow Movement.

Boat doc
Isn't this the guy that bought a set of hi-teks for his 408. He must be keeping them for his next boat because he liked them so much.

no hi-teks

Looks to be a nice boat though. Just wondering if he's keeping the hi-teks or what happened to them, as they are not pictured on the engine.
