he is well and wont let loose of the 8 milli's, i had him lined up with a 36 fountain with twin sc motors and he backed out at the last minute, and also he would of needed an experienced captain to run the boat, that was one of those oh yeah i ran a thousand boats... its always cheaper running someone elses boat lol

You guys probably think, man Eric has alot of friends and he comes up with some whacky ass stories, when your in business you have a tendency to aquire customers turned friends. when someone tells me a story I ask them about the story a few times to see if it changes and if it doesnt i know they are not B.S ing me.
Well this guy from above who just settled this lawsuit told me a good one and it was consistant everytime he told me and i may have posted this in the past and when i tell it, it is from memory and is as factual as i can remember. It was 1984 when he was diagnosed with a certain type of bone cancer and the surgeons operated on his left shoulder which shortened his arm about 4 inches, in the midst of this a bone fragment came loose and entered his artery and made its way to his neck and lodged there seriously cutting the flow of blood to his head on that side. It gets better.... the doctors at the time told him there is nothing else we can do for the cancer and well.... make arrangemants. at the time he was pulled aside by another doctor which told him he wanted to see him privately. and the conversation started out with i could loose my license to practice medicine for giving you this inforamtion and handed him a card with a number on it to contact. long story short it was for a treatment center in a small town near Mexico city, my friend is from a wealthy family and could afford to hop on a plane and go down there. It was $12,000.00 for the 3 months he had to be there, the treatment made him so sick he couldnt get out of bed for those 3 months and I still have a hard time believing this to this day, the place he was at specialized in a treatment using layatrill??? it is a something that comes from peach nuts i think??? Its now 2008 and i talk to him everyday, as i said its hard to believe and its hard not to believe |

this brings up another recent doctor visit, I visited his boat and the trans was bad, over 20 some years somehow your name gets out there just like the doctors, anyways he keeps his (boats) in a special built building to store them for the winter, its heated to a toasty 70 degrees in there, just right for tranny work, i pulled his trans in october and finally got around to putting it in last week and upon completion i had his bill with me, ive always have been reasonable over the years no matter who it was and i think this is the point where i changed. I busted my ass on this thing and i am still sore to this day and i started reasoning because when i go on a job i feel the price that i would pay is what they should pay...well i threw that out the door, i guess im guilty of profiling, I put my bill back in the car and i let him know i would be done in 15 or so minutes and he said to me with his foriegn accent, i pay you cash, well now that surely changes things.
im not going to say what the total bill was but lets put it this way he didnt leave the property to go to the bank bacause in the same building was a safe sitting in front of the boat. but I'll tell you this a dont feel guilty about using my times 2 method of billing.... |

when i f-up it only costs a couple thousand, my good friends doctor f-upd and it cost his insurance company 8 big ones thats with 7 numbers by the way (in payments of course) its pro-rated because they are hoping that there is a chance of the bone dis-lodging in his neck artery to cut the payments short......it is a true story

Wait a minute now Bruce. I really don't think it's appropriate to imply that MM has no chance of ever becoming an MD. |

Not to mention, they have to be at their best all the time. They can't have a few too many at the sandbar on Sunday night when they got to work in the morning. |

Very good Blondie.
(I really liked it since my Daughter had open-heart when she was 6 monthes old.) I've always told everyone how amazed I am at the way doctors approach things just like a mechanic "Ok, we're going to take this out, put this in, connect this here". "Doing it with the motor running" really hilites what I've always said. Thanks. (By the way, nice to see ya posting again.) |

A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head from the motor of a Dodge SRT-4 when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop. The cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come take a look at his car when the mechanic shouted across the garage "Hey Doc, want to take a look at this?" The cardiologist, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was working on the SRT. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how can I make 39,675 a year, a pretty small salary, and you get the really big bucks, $1,695,759, when you and I are doing basically the same work?" The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to the mechanic... ''Try doing it with the engine running." |
