And I'm up in the north!!

Here's a statement from one of the local comedians:
"If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May, you live in Chicago".

No I dont fish, never had a red fish hold a gun to my head so I leave them be.
Florida just passed a new limit law on their redfish tho.Cut the limit in half, only two now.
La. did this for several years and the population came back with vigor.Time for the rest of the Gulf Coast to follow our lead.
We have a lot better fishing here , but you can research that as to the number of out of state fishing permits sold....
We just do not have the white sand , nor the blue/green water.............

Give me a call when you will be there .Karen and I race all along the Gulf Coast , Hobie Cats. Maybe we can hook up on those days you are close...............Boat dr

The doctor then chuckled and said, "I'm just messin' with ya. She's dead. What'd you catch?"
That statement proved he ain't really from La.
#1 he would have had a beeper , been on call but unavailable.
#2 he would have asked directions to his "honey hole"
#3 we do not have trout here, we call them BASS.......... Still a good story tho...

Thanx for the reference to our culture down here.....temps in the 60's, 75+ for the wqeekend, think Karen and I will go boating ......Boat dr

A man was on the water for his weekly fishing trip. He began his day with a 5-pound trout on the first cast and a 6-pounder on the second. On the third cast he had just caught his first ever trout over 10 pounds when his cell phone rang. It was a doctor notifying him that his wife had just been in a terrible accident and was in critical condition and in the ICU. The man told the doctor to inform his wife where he was and that he'd be there as soon as possible.
As he hung up he realized he was leaving what was shaping up to be his best day ever on the water. He decided to get in a couple of more casts before heading to the hospital. He ended up fishing the rest of the morning, finishing his trip with a stringer like he'd never seen, with 3 trout over 8 pounds.
He was jubilant. Then he remembered his wife. Feeling guilty, he dashed to the hospital.
He saw the doctor in the corridor and asked about his wife's condition. The doctor glared at him and shouted, "You went ahead and finished your fishing trip didn't you! I hope you're proud of yourself! While you were out for the past four hours enjoying yourself on the pond, your wife has been languishing in the ICU! It's just as well you went ahead and finished, because it will be more than likely the last fishing trip you ever take!" "For the rest of her life she will require 'round the clock care. And you'll be her care giver forever!"
The man was feeling so guilty he broke down and sobbed.

The doctor then chuckled and said, "I'm just messin' with ya. She's dead. What'd you catch?"
