Saffer sorry I messed up in your topic. Here in argentina our legislation prohibits citizens to buy and import used boats unless you have lived abroad for at least 2 years, and demonstrate you own the boat some years berfore returning to the country. And then you have to pay import taxes that are around the 70% of the cost ot the boat+freigt (around 6-10k to argentina). It seems more relaxed back there in NZ...

Jbear I´m from Argentina I live in Buenos Aires. We practice in the delta river. Its a big system of rivers and canals (fresh water). There also lakes in differnt states Like mendoza and cordoba. Ski boat market is small I guess there are 200 ski boats around the country total (MC, SN, tiges, malibus.).
Some local manufacturers copied popular american ski boat and intall pcm engines you might want to check their sites www.skywake.com.ar and www.astillerovicoria.com.ar
gas is around 63cent a liter. Here we usally keep boats in special hangars with lifters instead of having them in trailers ang garages.(check for www.sarthou.com.ar the "guarderia" menu) in my case i use the boat year round as lower tempetarutes in winter are 5-12 celcius so a dry suit solve problems.
Well I hope this was helpfull for you.

Hello guys
Was the proud owner of a 1980 SN in SA, moved here 4 years ago.
Now i have this one, thats a diesel tank for earthmoving, friends business.
I am a tutor.
We have lakes about 2 houurs from home, but a LOT of flat rivers (unfortunately salt), so best next thing is freshwater cooling , but none available in NZ.
Anyone out there willing to assist in how to get that up and running on my boat? possibly send it from USA?
Nice to meet you all.
Thanks for all the help

Welcome...love to meet you out-of-the-country guys!

Many C/C's there? Where do you ski/board. Is gas expensive? Looks like you live on a farm? If not..what do you do?

More pics!
