I'm also interested in the trailer if it's still for sale! I'm in Iowa and am going to be picking up a boat in Michigan in a few weeks. If you can email pictures or give me some more information that'd be great! I will PM you my contact information.

searider i am in indiana south of indianapolis, sorry i dont know how to do pics.i am just one lite from a retard when it comes to computation devices.as for why i want a tandem mainly looks ,safety, and loading over the side.i have a tower and you can grab the tower step on the fender slide out of your sandels and bust your chin on the side of the boat.as for moving the trailer it is parked on grass so it sinks enough you cant move it anyhow and two more wheels would help.but more importantly i just hate the galvanized tandem is not a must have.

Todd, The many people with single axles have put millions of miles on trailers without problems. You may want to take a look at your trailer maintenance program.

Doc, I agree that tandems are a real PITA. I have never understood the need unless you have a boat over the max single axle of 6000lbs. I remember way back jockeying boats at the marina - When a tandem would come in we would need to get several people together to handle it! Thankfully we didn't have too many because most of the boats were 22' or less. I also remember having tandems on the front end of the yard truck and popping tires off the rims from squishing them sideways!! And of coarse, the thingy in the middle of the springs. I'll have to look up the proper name for it!

I'm interested in your galvanized trailer. Where are you located? Can you post or send pictures of the trailer?

Pete, every boat owner should have at least "ONE" tandam trailer in their boating career.
I well remember my first , had to have it.Looked great, trick wheels and a neat paint job.Did not understand why the "MORON" would want to "DOWNGRADE" to a single axle galvanized "PLAIN JANE" trailer?
Did not take me long to find out that the one man hook and go in 30 seconds flat and down the drive, now took one backer and a hooker. Now there was two extra tires, springs and that rocker thing that seemed to flip if you went over a steep bump.
Long story short , I was the "MORON" that wanted a plain jane and found a sucker like myself to help me out...........Boat dr

im, Just wondering why you want a tandem. Have you ever tried to maneuver a tandem by hand in tight quarters?
