just went out this weekend my 73 skier keep on missfiring. then it runs great for 20ft.then starts to do it again. so i put her up.just put new dis,coil,points,cond,cap,wires and plugs two months ago. do you think my points and condenser are bad in two months? i use it almost every day. up till this weekend!

Look for a loose wire or poor electrical connection somewhere such as at the coil, ignition switch or anywhere in between.

It's possible that the points could go bad that soon. The plugs could foul if the carb is running rich.
Does it stumble or misfire most of the time or just on occasion? Does it do this during warmup or after or both? |

it does it so bad! that when i went out it missed so bad that i had to put her up. all the time /both and i never warmed it up because it missed so bad.I've been thinking about the points as well.

put new points in sunday morning.Runs great no missfire. Engine sounds smooth

napa auto parts but i had to turn the gear on it so it would spin in the right direction and it is a marine model. It,s from the main parts center in greensboro ,nc. you won't find it on there web site! call them they will help

www.centuryperformance.com is where I got my reverse direction Mallory drive gear, and my spare unilite module. I think they are out of Nevada.
