someone will criticise this and say dont you think we know this already, this is for the ones that dont,
as of today I have recieved 5 checks totaling $12000.00 for a couple items I have on Craigs list and i keep getting bank checks in the mail for more than the amount of the items Im selling and they want me to send the balance in a money order and the item to them....man the checks look good but they are not. has anyone came across this yet? |

I've heard of it before Eric. And I think it's the same guy that's sent me an Ebay second chance offer and offered to ship the $2000 vehicle from Vegas to NC for free.

Major Scam Eric. One of the oldest in the book. The checks look completely legit, but they are far from it.
These guys want you to send them balances from there checks, hoping you send the checks before getting the NSF notice from your bank on the check you just deposited from them... Anything being shipped, especially overseas, all scams.. Don't buy into people.... Moj' |

Pete, I wanted to send them an old filled out check or tell them the money will go western union, just to make them run around a little bit.
someone on the site might fall for the old gag, It always comes back too....when its to good to be true, it usually is |

with bad comes good, I sold some big cat clutch plates to a guy in Chile off e-bay, I thought he was trying to scam me, I went to Western Union and recieved the money. no problem at all, plus he trusted me to send the plates and i did. I guess larger transactions I would request Western Union

That is correct, Eric. A buyer cannot reverse the funds the day after you ship an item with a wire transfer service....like Paypal does. |

there is a 2004 chevy 3/4 ton 4 wheel dr on craigs list in utah but advertised in mass for 4000 he says his child is sick . he will deliver it for free ...............................hhhmmmm

allright, here we go, get a call from a Saudi Arabian sounding gentleman, he asked if i recieved his check and the answer was yes i did, and yes I cashed it at my local establishment on Friday (I didnt though) he asked did they cash it for you? i replied yes they always cash my payroll checks and any type of certified checks...this guy about ***************...now im getting e-mails that the FBI is after me the CIA...funny

I think he figures somehow it will be traced back to him now that it was cashed and probably across state lines it turns into a federal offense, I always f- with these guy's especially the Nigerians, I'll give them an old western union number and tell them its ready for pick-up....make them feed the camel an take it for a ride...im sure its an all day event for them
