Hey guy's I'm sure some of you are hitting the road (or already have) this Thanksgiving so I justed wanted to publicly say that I'm thankful for EVERYTHING that God has blessed me with. I have been blessed with:

    a heathly loving family,
    a secure job (for now),
a free country, and those who fight to keep it that way,
    food on the table,and

a wonderful extended family of Boat Buddies any guy could want.

Happy Thanksgiving to Keith and the rest of my Nautique family. I have so much to be thankful for and we hope ya'll have a wonderful and safe Holiday where ever your travels may take you!

PS. Plan on taking the boat out tomorrow for a Turkey Day Run.

Thanks for starting this post. My family and I are very blessed. The Lord has been good to us and never forsaken us. His presence is always very real. I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for my parents and my husband's parents who showed us the important things in life. I am thankful that our 1970 CC is still around and being used. I am thankful for the people I have met and talked with on this site. I hope everyone of you have a blessed Thanksgiving, and remember really, everyday should be thanksgiving. Don't take anything for granted. God Bless you all.

Funny... I wanted to start a new post about you Americans and your way to be thankful and your way to support each other, but as this topic is very related to what is on my mind lately, I'll just put my story here...

My wife and I were just watching an American show that is kinda popular on one of our networks here: "Extreme Makeover: Home edition".
My wife asked me if Americans were really that kind of a "hugging nation" as she calls it. The one response I gave her is that I get the exact same feeling when I'm on this forum...
We Europeans are a more "cold" kind of people. It is not so common to get that kind of response or volunteers to help each other out (just my opinion...) as you see in the above mentionned show (even if a big piece of what you see on the TV is indeed show).
To me, you Americans have something you should cherish: one nation with one goal and one same language!
To me, Europe will never have that... Too many states with too many languages and too many different goals...
Even a little country as Belgium is divided for reasons that should not even be worth to mention (again, just my opinion). Don't get me wrong, I am a patriot and I love my country, but it's just darn well difficult sometimes.
Guess that since I found this little family here and the new friends I made, I'm more American in my way of thinking than a European...

So, I'm thankful for:
Being in good health
Having found the love of my life (and, more impotantly: she agreed to marry me!!)
Having a few very good friends
My new friends I made on this great site (wich reminds me I should pick up the phone and let them know they are friends)
- Gun control means: using BOTH hands!
- Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle...

Thank you Kristof, on behalf of millions of Americans and moreso on behalf of several hundred of your brothers (and a few sisters) on this very hug-friendly site. We certainly consider you one of us, and not just because of your boat. I now have a genuine tear of pride and joy to add to my personal feelings of Thanksgiving, and I'd certainly like to extend the best of life, love, and happiness to all of my CCFan family out there during this most special time when we show our thanks.
OK NOW, BIG GROUP HUG!!

To my many CC friends that have enriched Karen and my life so much over the years, Thanksgiving be to you and yours on this wonderful day.
And a special thanks to Keith for the common thread that holds this group of misfits together. So many differences, jobs, locations and other beliefs but the common love of our CC brothers and sisters that hold us all together.

I worked on the set of Extreme Home Makeover when they did the house in Maine. Maybe someday we will meet and I can tell you all about it.I don't want to threadjack this post, but It was the biggest travelling circus I have ever seen.I still have the autographed T- shirt and hardhat somewhere.

You make a valid point about this site.Even with some of the bickering,it's like we're one big disfunctional family. I've never met a CCFan that wouldn't go out of their way to help someone. In the end, that's what it's all about.

   Happy Thanksgiving ladies and gentlemen.

CCF sure has put a great group of people together. I really appreciate all the friends I've made.

Kristof, as I've said before, you sure have become acclimated. Happy Thanksgiving!

Great friends aren't easy to come by; I can't say enough how wonderful it is to be a part of this community. Thanks. And thanks to God the creator of the beautiful water that we so enjoy with our boats.

Have a great and wonderful day. I was visiting with a lady yesterday who has cancer that has now spread to her brain. Here face if full of happiness and joy, that God is so good to her, providing riches untold. She only tears up when she thinks of all the love she is able to share with those close to her. Yes, group hugs are appropriate.

Ive been purging for 2 days getting ready for this day, recieved a call from kris which btw doesnt celebrate thanksgiving but recognizes that we do, we discussed men hugging eachother...i let him know that didnt start until about 10 years ago and that with me a hand shake is plenty.
the world is a little shakey now and the way i get through the bad times and good times is to compare yourself to somebody that really does have it bad, someone with little time left, someone that has to spend thanksgiving alone, kids who that thier parents left at a doorstep, you think of life this way and you say to yourself with a smile this aint so bad and you maybe try to help this people in your own way whether it be spending time with them, donating food,
dont be a person that takes up a cause because you contacted that disease, take up a cause because of a good heart and enjoy these days with your family and friends and put aside your differences. sorry for the rant.
Happy thanksgiving, including you Kristoff

In addition to all of the blessings I'm humanly prone to take for granted, I couldn't be more thankful than to have another amazing Thanksgiving dinner in my Mom's place in Green Lake. Since many of you visited during GL 08, I think you realize the special importance of this day, at this place, in this point in time.

Steve, very well said . . . and your previous post, it reminds me of the holiness of space, memories intricately linked to people who have shaped and formed us in special places. Thanks for reminding me of those people/places in my life.

Well,I guess I couldn't very well put it in any other forum but I do see your point.

Oh and by the way I was the only one on the water yesterday and would even gone a run or two if someone else was there to drive. The water was glass EVERYWHERE!
Looked like Gov. Purdue had quite a few folks on his back deck yesterday. Man! what a beautiful day.
