On a similar but totally unrelated note...Many many years ago pulling a buddy of mine on a tube with the primary objective of doing as much damage to him as possible: After coming up from a spill, he quoted the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz about the spill...

"they took my arms and threw them over there...and they took my legs and threw them over there"

Always amused me...but maybe you had to be there.

Hmmm, we called it a 'biff' because thats the sound of the air getting violently expelled from your lungs upon impact...

Its called a boom because that is the noise your chest and face make on the water when you catch a toe.

Oops, I was thinking a boon is an aid or a help, and a boom was an explosion, but now I know that a "boom" is also a ski aid. But on a sail boat it's a boon, right? Or, is that a boom too?
Anyway thanks Bill, always appreciate learning, and I will check with barefoot.

I'd call Barefoot International and see if they have a different clamp.

Oh, and it's boom, not boon...

I fortunately have been the recepient of a barefoot boon given to me (take a friend skiing and look what you get!). The problem is my pylon diameter is 1 3/4 while the clamp on the boon only clamps down to 2 1/4 inches.
Anyone have some ideas on how to make this work?
I think the boon is a "Barefoot International."
By the way, I took our friend and my son out on the course this afternoon and we were the only boat--sweet water!
