Larry's right- its $180 for a pair of brackets (1 seat's worth).

Be careful- I think the Southwind brackets were taller than the other boats- the seats sat higher off the floor.

Kevin,
I just looked through the ref. section looking at Southwinds. I was curious to see if I could spot higher brackets like Tim mentioned. All I see is bench type front seating ether split in the middle or on the port side like the Barracuda used to have. The cuda of coarse did have the bucket option as well. When you got your Southwind, was the interior completely gone? Just wondering!

The CC bench seats were plywood with foam and vinyl. If real beat up, the originals would look home made!! Any pictures?

I even saw that the Southwind open bows had the fold out to flat seats like a I/O!

The front seats that were in the boat was two forward facing seats with a console in between just big enough for a six pack. They were sitting on ply. boxes. They also had indoor/outdoor carpet on the bases and backs. If that was actually stock then I definetely want something different.I just want the double observers seat and captains seat(not on a pedestal. The boat shop that is doing my upholestry can make the seats but he will need the brackets.I do think that they will need to be taller for my boat.

Kevin,
I thought you were doing a original restoration on the boat! Shame on you!! You're going for a wakeboarding boat aren't you??

I did a search looking for JIH's print on the seat frames. You would just need to make the frames taller like you mentioned.

Here's JIH's print: seat frame

Paul it will be original except for the front seats.I have plenty of pics of the original rear seats so that will be no problem. I just do not know what the heck came in the front. Every southwind that I see has something different! Maybe has something to do that they are over 30 years old.lol

I have a set of frames like you are looking for that are made to fit a Ski Nautique. If you want teh deat to sit up taller for the Southwind, you might build a base to elevate the seat. I'll take $100 for the set.

Kevin,

I think I might have what you need. The brackets are used but I have driver seat and observer seat brackets from an early 80's model 2001 nautique. Let me know!

Scott, Im interested to see what youve got. Which style bracket are they- the ones for the fiberglass buckets (base only) or the ones for the 2-piece cushions (pictured above) with the back rest support?

When you say set, how many is that for- one seat (2 brackets) or 2 seats (4 brackets)?

They are for the 2 piece cushion. I also have the base plates the attach to the floor. I have 2 brackets for 1 seat.

Scottz No I stopped looking for the brackets. It seems that a bench type seat was original to my boat(like pbrainard said). The boat guy that is doing my upholestry found some pics here on c.c.fan and talked me into restoring it to original.Should be finished this week!
