The decals on my 86 are in pretty shape. what is the best way to remove them. Also, what is the best way to get the shine back in the gel coat.

Rob,
Check out this post for you gel coat. TRBenj's suggestions on bringing gel back to life I used the method that TRBenj talks about and mine looks very good. |

this post has some good info... I used a heat gun and a putty knife to remove the old decals. |

A heat gun gets pretty hot, I use a hair drier.

Hair dryers are for girls. As long as you don't turn it on the highest setting and leave it in one place for a long time you'll be fine. I didn't have any problems with the gel coat getting too hot. |
