Im sure someone rebuilds rudders. Im just not familiar with who does. I have one off the 74 Mustang that I replaced a few years ago because the original was getting quite a few holes in her from cavitation. It just needs to be filled in. Is it worth doing to have a spare? If so, where would be the best place be, and roughly how much $$ ?? Thanks in advance to all!!

Jeff, I sent my rudder to delta prop company in ohio. They have an advertisement on this site. The shaft was slightly bent and they managed to straighten it out for me for $25. If there is extensive damage to it I'd replace it. You wouldn't want it snapping off and becoming a projectile headed towards a skier who might be right behind it. Don't even want to think of what might happen.
As for pits in it I'm sure they could fix her up for pennies. Give em a buzz. |

Thanks much barracuda, I will keep that in mind! I have the rudder and the port because the new replacement rudder (from NECC) needed a new port since it was slightly different.
