Can anyone advise how to lift the center floorboard behind the motor clam shell on my 206.
From the round inspection cover between the motor and rear seat I saw (using a mirror) that the filter is attached to the stringer but there is no way I can reach it to replace it. I figure I'd have to remove the rear seat, the seat base, but what else? Surely the factory could have place the filter in a more accessible location? Appreciate any advice. |

don't know what year is your 206 but my 1992 to remove the center fllorboard you need to remove the rear seat and the moterbox..then lift the floor and voila, it lays on the stringer no screwa or anything...what filter are you talking about?

kapla,
It's a 2008. I was referring to the primary fuel filter canister. I'll have a go at it this weekend. Thank you, appreciate your input. |

Sebastian is correct, the 206 removes the same way. Pull the 2 pins from the motorbox hinges to remove box, remove rear seat pad and base, should be 2 rubber straps on each piece, once all that is out of the boat the floor board should come out, no screws.
What filter is back there? Are you sure you are not looking at one of the ballast pumps? If you have an Excalibur there should be a fuel/water separator filter in the FCC towards the front of the motor and your strainer for the water intake should be at the rear of the motor after the water pickup. That's how my 05' is set up if CC has not changed anything. |
