I am the original owner of a 1967 Correct Craft Mustang and am considering having it restored... Not interested in doing it myself...
Any suggestions as to qualified, ethical restorers?

Phil,
It would help to know where you live!! If you want to keep it a secret, how about just a general area.

Welcome to the site. Glad you found us and do you have any pictures? We'd love to see what you're dealing with.

Hi! My name is Matt Santomenna and I have a small shop where I restore Nautiques and Correct Crafts.   We are located in Mooresville NC home to many Nascar teams thus our name of Race City Marine. Reidp is my partner and our location (BBC) is home of CCFan Orange Crush! Let me know if we can help.

Phil,

Matt does great work and no one knows these boats better than Reid ( Partner).

Phil,
Yes, give Matt a call. He's sure closer to you than the people I know up here!

Have you considered doing any work yourself? I ask because having a pro put his time in will be expensive. The $ spent will exceed the boats value.

Do the messy labor intensive stuff yourself & have the Pro do the detail work that counts.

Matt,
Does it need a stringer job? This is something that many here have undertaken with just some basic woodworking skills.

Really appreciate all the input and suggestions and am in the process of following up on seversal of them... What I am probably looking for is some sort of a blend between refurbishing and restoration... I would like the boat to pretty much be the same as it was when purchased new late in 1966 but can accept some modifications and refinements along the way... I'm looking for a boat to use not show and have a sentimental attachment to this "old faithful"... Not really interested in doing any of the process myself... I'm taking my retirement seriously and try to avoid that four letter word called work as much as possible... Again thanks to all for your help... Phil
