Has anyone changed out their horn? If so how do you do it? I have a '99 sport nautique and would like to try this on my own.
thanks! Stuart |

Me too, how about a replacement horn for a deck mounted horn on a 78 Ski Tique........ It sounds pitiful but I would like to keep it close to original. Any suppliers out there.........?

Steve, Before you start looking for a new horn, grab the volt meter and see what you're feeding it. It doesn't take much of a low voltage to affect the sound. Which horn do you have? Seafit still makes one of the models that went on many 70's era CC's. |

Pete,
Doh! That is a great idea........ In my automotive horn trials, it was never an issue with supplied voltage, it was always a crappy horn. It sure sounds like it isn't getting enough juice. Thanks for the reminder.... This boat has had some electrical issues. BTW it isn't a trumpet style like your Tique's, it is the white compact deck mount variety (I can't seem to locate a direct replacement, so I hope it is a voltage issue). |
