Stuck/Broken Manifold Bolt

While changing out the Original exhaust manifolds and risers (thanks, original owner), some of the bolts were either stripped out and a couple even broken off. No problem on those as i just drilled the heads off and got them out once the manifolds were off. All was good til the last bolt.
Drilled through it, soaked in PB Blaster, tried easy out, no luck. Tried some vise grips, that just broke the bolt off even shorter. Tried heat and easy out, no luck.
Anybody have a better solution? Don't want to take to someone or have to drill and tap......

Clay,
Looks like you have the first hole centered pretty good so keep drilling the hole progressively larger until you start to see threads. Then go after it with a tap and see if it will remove the remaining. That's all a shop will do.

in that case and pretty successful 95% of the time, i will take a nut that will fit over the broke stud, heat the nut and the stud red and zap it with my mig welder. wait until it cools and the unscrew with the appropriate wrench....Note: sometimes it takes 5 or 6 tries. somehow word gets around town and i end up doing a ton of these on snow plow trucks, hanging upside down cause its always the ones in the back that are corroded or broke off

Mig welders are cool arnt they!! This one though looks bent and ready to break off flush. I think what I would do with this one is go ahead and grind flush and try to drill open the hole more and easy out it, and if that does not work go on with what Pete described and re-tap the holes with a bottom tap. I see a few of these every year with Salt water boats. I have fixture that I can attach to a chevy head and utilize my drill press and bore and prep broken exhaust bolts for extraction.
Hobby Boats can be expensive when the hobbyist is limited on their own skill and expertise.

thats the good thing about the nut, if they are flush you can still hit it in the center with the mig wire and keep the wire from straying with the nut. i hate broken studs!!! the important thing though is zapping the 2 when they are red, much better penetration
