1974 Stringer Repair

I ordered the 5 gallon kit with Medium hardner, 8 yards of biaxial, 2 pupms, and 4 gallons of cabosil, and 2,4,6,8" 50 yard rolls of fiber tape. In the town that I live in there is a fiberglass plant. That makes fiberglass pipe. I have several friends that work there and they hooked my up with alot of roven woving mat and alot of cloth. If I have anything left. I will let you know. If you can use it I'll sent it to you.

Take a look at UK79 thread. He's a freaking fiberglass gooroo. He is way bad ass.

Thanks guys its all on here just read all you can,all members have different skills they share just mix them up and your find what works for you and share you idea's ,using epoxy I found the more you do the easier it is just play with it.

The guys are right its about 10 gallons of epoxy for a full stringer job

You might want to get a couple gallons of the glass bubbles too. I mixed that about 60/40 with Cab-O-Sil to do my fillets. It makes the fillets more sandable in case you don't get them totally smooth.

We have had snow from a week before Christmas through to the end of Jan there is still snow up north around Leeds the picture was taken just after the new year, its been a hard cold winter here and by what I see you guys have had it bad too.

Have only been over to the US 6 or 7 times had a great time in Florida and up and around the West Coast you guys have it all.

Are you talking about the blue with black speckled "turf" type carpet? Looks like Astro turf except comes in colors besides green.

The blue astro turf is still available from MarineCarpet.com (formerly Bassboatcarpets.com, which I have used many times in the past). We'll be using it on the BFN. I want to say they dont have the red/black, as I think I had inquired about our Skier at one point. Not sure about the orange- that may be another tough one.

Capri Carpet was another place that also had some colors when I was searching before (at least the blue). Not sure if their site is up to date, but it looks like theyre still listing the red/black. It may be worth a call.

My guess is some sort of subwoofer enclosure. Or a baby cradle. Sht, I have no idea- but whatever it is, its impressive!

I wouldnt bother tearing into your boat yet, Mark. For an original example thats still being used as it was intended, it looks damn good. Hell, it was a calendar boat this year!

Well I wasn't really thinking of the astro terf. I was thinking of something like they put inboat theses days. Althought Atwoods does sell the red and black astro terf. I used it to cover my running boards a few years back.
