There are two areas on my boat's upholstery that need attention. There is a nasty seam tear on the driver's seat and a vertical rip along the back of the rear bench. Each is getting worse due the hard use that the boat gets each summer. Otherwise, the upholstery is in decent shape.

I am considering buying new skins for the two problemed areas. I expect the rest of the upholstery will last about 5 years. Will it hard to make it match if I do this piecemeal? Any thoughts on whether it makes economic sense to addresss the problemed areas now?

Talk to Christine's. I bought a jump seat on Ebay for my Sport. Had to replace the bottom cushion inorder for it to fit properly next to the observers seat. It matched the other upholstery very well.

Where are you located Jim? I had an Amish guy that Eric recommended do the bottom of my drivers and spotters seats for $75. If you could find someone local that can do upholstery work they may be able to repair the seam for you and match the vinyl on the bench seat pretty close.

Come on Newbies! Enter a more descriptive location than "United States" This is a big country!

Jim, great looking boat! I love those colors! I had a seat quoted with Christine's and though it was a pretty good price. My take on it is that I know it will be done right. Nothing wrong with going local, but I've seen some stuff come back around here (Iowa) that looks pretty nasty. Do it once and help out a supporter of the site at the same time! My $.02
