I think I need to get a new trailer for my 67SN. Anyone think this trailer will fit it properly? Not trying to get in on this one necessarily, just want opinions.

I dont think it will- theres a pretty decent size difference between the original #3 and a 2001 #3 (both length and width). Roger and Moj were looking for Barracuda trailers, but I think they decided the 2001 to be too big.

I have to ask though- whats the reasoning behind swapping yours out? Ive yet to see a CC channel-framed trailer thats beyond saving. The Tique's trailer was pretty rusty, but cleaned up nicely.

Mike, is your current trailer a #3? You haven't forgotten about the deal we struck this winter, have ya?! Maybe we need a spring kick-off get together so I can come pick it up!

Tim,

It may well be able to be saved, but it is all kinds of twisted and bashed up and rusted and...... I will send you a couple pics at some point. I was thinking more along the lines of cost effectiveness. Technically, the Mustang needs an actual CC trailer too, to be complete, but I do really like the cradling towability of the one we have for her.

Chris, We are set, you let me know when. The new one went on last night. Amazing.

Mike,
Tim is right.. At least for the Cuda's,the bunks are to far apart. There would be less than in inch or so on either side of the hull.. If the boat doesn't get centered perfectly, you've got problems.

I'm not sure of the transom width of the older SN. Worth checking into..

I've given up looking for an old #3 to refurbish... Going to take Steve's old tandem from his Classic for the time being and making it work...
