Has anybody got a lastest greatest Decal remover ?
Whats the best thing to get them off. I'm just removing whats left of the white Nautique small lettering that goes on each side of the rear of the boat and the small decals under that . |

Ive been told that there is a decal remover bit that you can put on a drill that works pretty well. Supposedly available at auto parts stores. I havent gotten one yet, but its on my list!
For the residue, Ive found both Goof Off and Goo Gone to work very well. |

Adhesive remover from home depot works really well. It hasn't damaged my gelcoat, but then again mine wasn't glossy to begin with. Harbor freight also has a tool that looks like a soldering iron that has a razor blade at the end. It heats up and does a nice job, not as good as the chemical stuff though.

Thats what I usually use is the chem remover or a heat gun. I was just wondering if there was a latest greatest thing.

Seems like my litte heat gun is the king. Heat it just a little and peel it off, glue stays with the decal. got the old one's off this morning and put the new one's on.

Go to the auto parts store and ask for a decal eraser.......it's a round rubber wheel that you put on a drill.......works great and won't harm paint or gel coat....should cost about 8-10 dollars.

I just used my wifes hair dryer, razor blade for the tough spots, followed by a little lighter fluid on a rag.... did all the stickers on my boat in an hour or so.
