AS in what do you ask for when you walk up to the parts counter? The last set I got for my 89 SN2001 with points were fairly short and I had to run the rear wires over the top of the engine rather than under the manifold. What Make / Model or brand of wires out there is long enough to run under the manifolds like the stockers. (that I can pick up locally?)

Are there any pre-cut wires that will fit or will I have to get a kit and make my own custom length? I've never liked doing that but I can if thats the way to go.

You can get the PCM ones for around 40 dollars. These are made to have enough length to fit how they are supposed to. Most car wire sets are too short.

Wow, I'm sure you paid dearly for them!! They saw a sucker walking in the door!

BTW, what was wrong with the old ones? I still have the originals on my 64 and they show no signs of deterioration.

They were only about 40-45 dollars for the set. So, no sucker here. I got them from Fort Fremont Marine. I looked online and they were the same price as the mallory marine ones from summit, and the same if not better price than online for the PCM brand.

The old ones were automotive ones that were a little too short, and god awful orange. The new ones are nice black wires with the gold PCM logo on it. Also, I had some odd resistance on the old set.

Just keeping with the original parts Pete.
