Just finished Sanding and Buffing my '90. I used a variable buffer purchased from harbor freight for like $45, worked great. I listed the link to the thread for you with the info on the materials I used after lots of research on this site.

It's too fast of a RPM. If the gel is in good condition, how about just using one of the "cleaner" wax's then it's all hand work. 3M Marine is a good one. |

1990 SN, gelcoat in excellent condition. Wondering if I can use a Milwaukee Sander/Grinder #6148 with mandrel and 3M wool buffing pads to buff Perfect-It and Finesse-It products ? This is not a variable speed machine.
I will probably work the compounds by hand and use the Milwaukee for removing product and polishing. thanks, cheers, John |
