I have a 1993 Ski Nautique and just recently when I turn the ignition key the motor won't turn over. but when I wiggle the shifter back and forth is when the engine turns over. What do I need to do. Is it a loose shift cable or what? Please shed some light.

Regards,

check your neutral safety switch on the transmission, it should have 2 white wires going to it, it needs to be detented to complete the circuit, make sure your linkage is adjusted correctly in order to not burn up the trans.

I see this is your first post. If you ever have any tranny associated questions, go straight to Eric. That's his full time job!

And we were missing one of the "big cheeses"!

Eric, What happened to you? I had to do the alignment clinic all by myself.

Your no show was disappointing.
