Everybody's getting some Eric. My city's about to build a $250k skate board park with stimulas money. I wonder what the life of the projects are compared to the life of the loan?

Ah, big government. Isn't it wonderful! Big enough to give us everything we want......and to take everything we have.

Maine gets more money for boat engines
By Beth Quimby bquimby@mainetoday.com
Staff Writer

Maine has received another $571,638 to rebuild the engines on about 17 marine vessels to make them more energy efficient.

The money, awarded by the federal Environmental Protection Agency to the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, is in addition to $1.25 million the state already received for engine replacements under the economic stimulus act.

Lynne Cayting, in charge of the program at DEP, said the application period is already closed. About 330 people applied for the rebuilds under the first round, with awards made to about 50 boats.

Cayting said four New Hampshire vessels will receive some of the funds in the newest round of funding

I don't think the "boat engines " you want rebuilt would qualify Bruce hahahaha. Would have been worth a shot though.

BTW The only person Ozero really acres about is himself. Politicians are all the same, our future looks pretty dim.

all i know is the dredge runs 24 hours and when it breaks.....actually found the gear box locked up, when they kicked the power pack on a 4" hose jumped like a honeymoon Hardon...the pressure shot to 4200..i was hiding behind a steel plate, flying in the gearbox from Finland today.
its pretty slick because in the past they have added about 200 acres to the lakefront between the airport and water from dredging, there is an auxillary pump that pumps all the sludge onto land and then they excavate. I believe the city of Cleveland will develop that land someday.

all it would take is ten minutes a day to check the oil, i would bet this gearbox, by the time it arrives will be a 50k, mistake.
they replaced the center bearing section already because of the same problem.....it breaks my heart when they dont check the oil. the rig will be down for 48 hours...but the 15 guys who work it will be standing around getting prevailing wages 12 on 12 off....from what i gather these dredge companies get paid by the yard and if i remeber correctly from a few years back they got 33.00 a yard when digging.....they dont shut the rig down. unless someone gets sucked up. lol
